On October 5th, 2020, an Australian man named Andrew Harper set out on an epic journey. His goal? To become the fastest man to run around the world. Harper will start and finish his journey in Brisbane, and he estimates that the entire adventure will take more than a year.
Harper is no stranger to long-distance running; in fact, he’s already ran across Australia before. But this time, he’ll be taking on a much bigger challenge as he plans to run through 20 different countries. Along the way, Harper will be documenting his experiences on social media so that his followers can follow along on his once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
When asked why he’s undertaking such a monumental task, Harper says that he wants to inspire other people to push themselves outside of their comfort zones and pursue their dreams. He also hopes to use his platform to raise awareness for important causes, such as mental health and climate change.
Harper has been training for this challenge for months, and he’s confident that he’s physically and mentally prepared for what lies ahead. He’s also been working with a team of experts who have helped him plan everything out so that he can make the most of his time while he’s running. For example, they’ve mapped out a route that will minimise jet lag and help him avoid running in extreme weather conditions.
During his journey, Harper will be carrying all of the necessary gear with him so that he can maintain his blog and social media accounts. This includes a laptop, a smartphone, a portable charger, and a satellite phone in case of emergencies. He’ll also be carrying extra clothes and shoes, as well as food and water for when he needs it.
Good luck to Andrew Harper as he undertakes this incredible journey! We’ll be cheering him on from afar and can’t wait to see all that he accomplishes over the next year.
